Lasertracker

A Lasertracker can determine the 3D position of points by measuring bearings and vertical angles and an interferometric laser distance measurement.. Due to the measurement method the accuracies for the distance measurements are in the range of ca. 0.01 mm, while the angle measurements have a standard deviation of ca. 0.2 mgon, so that a point accuracy of 0.05 mm (distance 10 m) can be achieved.

Due to the high accuracy Lasertrackers are often used in the field of digitization in industry and for a high-precision staking out and control, for example in the field of Accelerometers . (See reference project DESY).

PANDA can process Lasertracker observations with arbitraryorientation in a rigorous manner: In PANDA three rotations are determined to transform each local Lasertracker coordinate set, derived from the measured polar coordinates, in the superior coordinate system.

A unique feature of PANDA is the possibility to combine Lasertracker observations with other measurement information, as leveling or total stations.
