Over the years, we have discovered several useful freeware programs that can make working with a computer a lot easier.

• The editor PFE is an efficient allround editor.
• A program that watches over an installation is InCtrl. This program makes a copy of all files and entries in the Win-Registry database, both before and after a program is installed. It then generates a report, listing all of the changes made in the registry by the installation procedure.
• The program Servant Salamander is a Norton Commander clone. It can be downloaded at this location: Download Salamander (ZIP file, size about 220kByte)
• A programm that can be used to edit archived files is the: PowerArchiver. Amongst others, it is capable of processing Zip-Archives. The program can be downloaded from here: Download PowerArchiver (ZIP file, size about 2200 kByte)
