PANDA data Processing

The processing of data includes all steps, from the Input of Data through the Adjustment of Reduced Observations!

  • Input of Raw Data:
    • The raw data from a variety of total stations and digital levelling instruments can be read.
    • The baselines with corresponding covariance information from several GPS evaluating programmes can be read - i.e. Trimble (GPSurvey), Leica (SKI).
  • Reduction of the Observations:
    • Instrumental and meteorological corrections are applied to the distance measurements.
    • Observations are geometrically reduced to the station marks.
    • Projection corrections are applied to the chosen mapping system.
  • Testing the Observations and the Computation of Approximate Coordinates:
    • All values in an observation epoch are checked against gross errors.
    • The approximate coordinates are computed through a robust L1 adjustment.
